About Silures

The Silures were a powerful war tribe occupying much of ancient South-Eastern Wales from AD 48. Incited by King Caratacus, they fiercely resisted the Roman Empire and protected their heritage. Silures is a nod to the rich cultural history of South-Eastern Wales, and the power of resilience.

Inspired by the fresh and vibrant Mediterranean flavours , Silures brings together the best of both worlds: premium, local  ingredients, harmonised  with classic Mediterranean cuisine.

The A La Carte menu is available Wednesday-Saturday, with our signature Roast showcasing on Sundays. The bar & garden are bustling and non-stop spaces, open to all and featuring a range of crafted cocktails, premium wines and bespoke bar snacks.

Every Friday-Saturday from 12-3pm, we serve a decadent Afternoon Tea featuring a selection of sandwiches, savory treats, fancies and both plain and raisin scones. We also offer a Set Menu perfect for a quick lunch.

Silures is an integral part of the Penarth community, not only by its accessible offering, but by championing environmental sustainability, local supply lines and ethical practices.
